Abstract

This study aims to analyze the business feasibility of eco-enzyme production as an implementation of the circular economy concept at Tulungrejo Village, Batu City. The study employed a descriptive method with a mixed methods approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies. Business feasibility was analyzed using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP) methods. Eco-enzyme production applies the concept of circular economy through the utilization of organic waste into products with functional and economic value. The production process uses leftover vegetables and fruits as the main raw materials for fermentation to support agricultural and household needs. The results of the financial analysis indicate that the eco-enzyme production business is feasible to operate, as shown by a positive NPV value, an IRR value higher than the applied interest rate, and a PP value indicating that the investment can be recovered before the project ends. In addition to having economic potential, this business also contributes to reducing organic waste through the implementation of a circular economy. However, the production remains constrained by limited production capacity and its relatively small scale.
