Design and development of an integrated payment information system for maternal and child hospitals

Abstract

Purpose: to design and develop an integrated web-based payment information system for maternal and child hospitals to support patient payment transactions more efficiently, accurately, and systematically.
Method: this study employed the research and development (R&D) method. The development process consisted of problem identification, data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation; system requirements analysis; system design using UML; web-based system development; system testing using black-box testing; and system implementation.
Findings: the study developed a web-based integrated payment information system for maternal and child hospitals. Black-box testing across 30 test scenarios achieved a 100% success rate, indicating that all system functions operated correctly and effectively supported hospital payment administration.
Implications: the developed system improves administrative efficiency, payment accuracy, and financial transparency in hospital services, while supporting the digital transformation of healthcare management in maternal and child hospitals.
Originality: lies in the development of an integrated web-based payment information system that combines patient data, medical records, medication management, billing, payment processing, and financial reporting into a single platform specifically designed for maternal and child hospitals.
